It looks so enticing. A cheap Freeview box (that's about £55) with access to HD. And Freeview in the UK has HD, right?
Freeview in Australia uses DVB-T to provide HD. The UK, however, uses DVB-T2 for HD - a newer technology, and one that isn't backwards compatible.
It'll also, incidentally, not pick up an electronic programme guide; nor will it see all the main channels (including ITV, Channel 4 and five).
So the quick answer is... no.

The long answer is that if it is a generic multi-region DVB-T (for Standard definition) or DVB-T2 (for high definition) box than it will work. It only won’t work if it has been built for that specific country (like the one shown above). So do your research before you buy!!!
