Media UK - now LinkedIn to your, er, LinkedIn account

We've just added LinkedIn as a way to sign in. And it works. Which is nice.

Media UK's all about keeping things simple.

Our services don't need any special username or password: instead, we use ones you already have, through Google or Facebook.

Today, thanks to popular request, we've added a third way.

And it is...

...drumroll...

Oh, you've already guessed.

If you use LinkedIn to sign in, you will find it works just the same way as Google or Facebook; comments you post will be accompanied by a link to your LinkedIn profile. Your user photograph will come over from LinkedIn as normal. (It'll be marked with a little icon, which LinkedIn put on there). For speed and your privacy, photographs are cached locally, and take up to 24 hours to update. Update them simply by logging off and on again.

Adding OAuth v1.0a (which this is) to Media UK has involved a bit of complicated server chicanery, but now it's done we're delighted with the results. If you spot anything bizarre happening, please do let us know.
