Editor, Media Ingenuity/TotallyMoney - England

TotallyMoney.com is a major financial comparison portal run by Media Ingenuity an online marketing and technology group specialising in financial intermediation. TotallyMoney.com already reaches an audience of more than 1 million unique visitors a month. We’re looking for an editor to take the lead role in transforming the site, making TotallyMoney.com the most compelling financial comparison destination in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an influential and very successful business at a key stage of its development.

Responsibilities:

You will create a clear and coherent vision for TotallyMoney.com and deliver it by organising and managing the development of site content, layout, look and feel and user experience. You will be responsible for generating  and delivering first rate creative ideas, writing original, fresh and  innovative content and finding new ways of empowering our readership by delivering a valuable and compelling experience every time they visit TotallyMoney.com.

Experience

You will be a first rate editor with a track record of researching, producing, writing and editing compelling content for a mass audience. You will have a knowledge and understanding of consumer financial services space. You will have experience of working and editing for an online publication. You will be highly articulate and posses excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to prioritise and deliver creative ideas and treatments. You will be able to execute the production and maintenance of the content, be able to commission editorial work, as well as editing/sub-editing existing or commissioned content, be able to work under pressure in a fast moving production environment, write and proofread content as necessary. You will be able to sensitively balance the editorial needs of the site, with the imperatives of the marketing, design and technical departments.
