European research project to shape next generation Internet TV

P2P-Next, a pan-European conglomerate of 21 industrial partners, media content providers and research institutions, has received a €14 million grant from the European Union. BARB Issues Blueprint for Future Shape

BARB is issuing its blueprint for the future shape of the service on August 1st 2006 - the 25th anniversary of the start of reporting of viewing data by BARB. As part of its formal process for awarding its new research contracts (to start January 2010) BARB is making available its 'Request for Proposals' document to potential suppliers. Proposals and indicative tenders will be received in December 2006. Invitations to tender are expected to be issued in spring 2007, for final tenders in summer 2007, with the award of contracts planned for the end of 2007.. (more)
