Design/production assistant, Century One Publishing - England

We are looking for a production assistant to support our creative team by managing the incoming advertising for our magazine titles, and to get involved in magazine production.

You will be co-ordinating the advertising requirements of an international client base with the opportunity to design advertisements, work creatively on magazine layouts, prepare press-ready pdf’s and rise to creative challenges as they occur on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate must have:

• An excellent working knowledge of QuarkXPress and Photoshop. Knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator would be great but is not essential. 
• Good knowledge of pre-press and print related procedures.
• Experience of print-based design, preferably in magazines.
• The ability to work creatively and in an organised fashion under deadline pressure.
• The ability to project manage your own workload.
• An excellent eye for detail.

Above all, you will be an enthusiastic, hard working and dynamic individual wishing to move forward in the exciting business of magazine publishing for a broad range of membership organisations, trade unions and charities.

Contract: Permanent
