Journalist, Mediaworld Ventures Ltd - England

We are looking for our next news hounds, features writers, entertainment buffs, sports aces and business writers as well as potential section editors, who can output news stories and articles with a twist.

Mediaworld Ltd, publishes the 'Asian Express' - UK’s largest free circulated fortnightly South Asian newspaper aimed at the second and third generation Asian in Britain today, and boasts over 1.25 million readers. 

We produce the fortnightly 'Asian Express National' newspaper and separate regional titles and strive to be non-political and non-biased towards any one religious group.

Mediaworld Ventures is always seeking passionate and outstanding personalities to join our team. Currently we are recruiting for our offices in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

We have been publishing for over eleven years now with a Head office in Leeds (Yorkshire) and another in Manchester (Lancashire), with plans to add more titles and offices in the near future.

Candidates should have a graduate calibre - NCTJ or equivalent, and a minimum of one year's solid work experience, which must include working in a business-to-business newswire environment, working as a researcher or news reporter. 

To be considered for these roles, candidates must be able to write clear and concise copy, be punctual, reliable and flexible and have an ambition to establish themselves as experts in the field of Media.

You must be adaptable, self motivated and enthusiastic with first rate communication skills. Photography skills are highly desirable. You must hold a full UK drivers license. All applicants must be UK residents.
