Our Client

Our client is a leading National media company with an exceptional reputation for a range of innovative market leading media platforms. As one of the largest media operations in Scotland their instantly recognisable high profile household brand covers a range of high impact advertising platforms including publishing and digital media. They currently require an Advertising Field Sales Executive to sell advertising throughout the East of Scotland on a quality Lifestyle Magazine.

Their Lifestyle Magazine is distributed through a network of hotels, restaurants, style bars, retailers, health and fitness clubs, etc. They provide their readers with an mix of editorial features, interviews, reviews, articles and competitions covering a range of subject areas including food and drink, health and beauty, fashion and retail, travel, entertainment and property. Their customers include a range of international, national and local brand names.

The Role

You will be responsible for selling print and online advertising opportunities to to a mix of new customers and existing key accounts across a number of lifestyle sectors throughout Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The role will involve identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities as well as managing a range of existing customers including large and medium size businesses. Customers will include retail & interiors, food & drink, entertainment, homes & gardens, beauty & fashion, travel, property, business etc. You will be responsible for telemarketing and cold calling to generate appointments, thereafter, selling face to face to key decision makers presenting bespoke creative presentations. Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers with a number of their larger clients, ensuring that the relationship is nurtured and grown. Working to targets and deadlines will have the support and back up of strong case studies, metrics and marketing information, marketing support and sales leads.

The Candidate
To apply you will require advertising sales experience from any media sector (i.e outdoor, online, radio, newspaper, magazine, etc). You will have knowledge of and an interest in the Edinburgh area with the ability to work closely with customers selling the benefits of a quality lifestyle magazine. You will be commercially aware, motivated, enthusiastic and have the tenacity to drive sales forward coupled with a real desire to work in the lifestyle media sector. You will also have the ability to develop long term relationships with a range of existing accounts. You will be an articulate self-starter with a proactive and creative approach with the ability to negotiate deals and strive to continue this Lifestyle magazines success.

Basic salary £17K to £21K + bonus + company car + benefits
