Contract publishing editor, Gulf News - Dubai

Gulf News Publishing Group seeks a Contract Publishing Editor to be based in our Dubai office.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage the production of up to three regular and one off publications, ensuring deadlines are met and the highest editorial standards are maintained
- Work closely with the advertising team to help maximise profits and look for opportunities to raise revenue with new titles
- Work closely with a team of in-house writers and commission freelance copy, while staying within budget
- Work closely with designers and photographers to maintain superior quality
The successful candidate will display strong interpersonal skills and have exceptional organisational abilities. He or she will pay great attention to detail and have strong work ethics and proven management skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of publishing experience in Business to Business and/or Business to Consumer publications.
Work experience in lifestyle publications and the ability to write across eclectic titles will be considered an asset.
