The PIE News is an online b2b news site for Professionals in International Education (www.thepienews.com).
We are searching for an Editorial Assistant, initially for a six-month contract, to join our small team of two and write, research and do a million and one other administrative tasks, whilst learning about this sector.
We are a growing company and this could be a springboard into a full-time position for the right person.
Readers of our site run businesses that involve international students - specialist study abroad travel agencies, education institutions, language schools etc. They are based around the world.
We'd like to hear from people with journalism/media experience or education and an interest in writing for business titles. No soft features here. We may ask you to intern for a day as part of our interview process. Experience of studying abroad possibly an advantage, but most important is enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and some natural writing skill and newshunting ability. A personable character also helps as the job may well involve networking.
