McCallum Layton is a leading market research and insight agency based in Leeds. An exciting opportunity has just been made available for a talented and enthusiastic Web/Multimedia Designer, to work in our in-house Multimedia department.
Your Responsibilities
You will have a broad range of skills across various creative fields, but really shine with your web design and coding skills. A creative problem-solver, with an eye for detail and precision, you will take briefs from the Head of department, applying your creative flair, and take it through to pristine completion.
We offer a lot of services to our clients, so you’ll need to be fluent with PowerPoint, and the Adobe Creative Suite. You will also be the ‘go-to guy’ for a lot of I.T, and multimedia related tasks. You will be doing the bulk of your design work on our 27inch iMacs, whilst working in a PC-dominant office, so you will be completely comfortable working on both Mac and PC.
Now is an exciting time to join as we revamp and refresh our existing online and printed materials. You will be making good use of your web design skills and be able to liaise and work with a .net developer, ensuring that the look and functionality of our new website is pristine.
Essential
• Educated to degree level in a relevant design-related subject.
• Fully proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier, After Effects and Flash.
• Fluent with HTML, CSS, and be knowledgeable with javascript, jquery and actionscript.
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Be able to design and send email newsletters and update our new website, so must have CMS experience.
• Comfortable and fluent on both PC and Mac.
• Reliable, self-motivated and highly creative.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines.
• Be a strong communicator, working with staff across various departments of the company.
Desirable
• Some knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, XML
• Experience with filming, editing, motion graphics, video compression and encoding techniques.
• Knowledge of hosting and streaming videos online.
• Experience with print
• Experience with audio editing
• Experience with SEO
• Our offices are in North Leeds, so you will need your own car and will live within commuting distance
