The role:
The Group's Web Team is a rapidly growing division of the company, responsible for anything and everything online.
We’re a growing team of skilled and enthusiastic web professionals, obsessed with delivering simple, effective and user-friendly web experiences.
We’re currently looking for creative in-house copywriters to join our copywriting team at the Web Team’s Dubai headquarters.
The successful candidate will be working on generating content for our new e-commerce website and standalone websites for our retail businesses.
If you have a flair for writing, excellent grammar, and the ability to make products come alive with your written descriptions, we want to hear from you.
Abilities and responsibilities:

Write and edit high-quality web copy (including titles, descriptions, features etc.) for e-commerce products across a broad range of product types, including: electronics, clothing, home furnishings, fashion etc.

Write and edit high-quality web copy for our internal/external corporate communications.

Conduct and write-up interviews and research for our corporate and brand blogs.

Attend/organise meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions to generate brilliant content ideas, gather raw content and gain a thorough understanding of our brands.

Edit existing content and proofread final copy before it goes live.

Work on multiple projects simultaneously, adapting your writing style and content to appeal to different target audiences.

Meet tight deadlines and deliver work on time.

Write in-house style guides and help with the in-house training of other copywriters.

Interact effectively with other copywriters, departments and external partners.
The ideal candidate:

Will be organised, creative, reliable, productive, with excellent attention to detail.

Has an excellent grasp of the English language and is confident and capable of editing, proofreading, checking grammar and punctuation, styling and branding written content.

Captures the essence of a brand using engaging, clear and concise copy with an ability to adapt their writing style to appeal to different audiences.

Works to set deadlines and delivers what they promise.

Is comfortable collaborating online with other team members and external stakeholders at all levels.

Is a fast-learner and is confident and able to put newly learned skills into practice.

Understands what happens behind the scenes of a website and what goes into making it successful eg. meta-tags and hyperlinks etc.

Has knowledge of what designers do and how their work affects/fits-in with your copy.

Can look after a large inventory of ever-changing copy.

Understands the principles of SEO and how to effectively use keywords within their copy.

Has knowledge and experience of writing marketing focused social media content – including blogs, banner ads, facebook copy, etc.

Understands how all content comes together to create a complete experience, from error messages, buttons and tips, to image titles, customer support, blogs and more, and how copy fits into the overall picture.

Is able to work under own initiative.

Thrives on a challenge and is good fun.
Experience:
- 2-3 years proven work experience in a similar role
