  • experience as a news editor or senior reporter for a business media brand
  • experience of meeting daily deadlines and managing reporters or freelancers
  • a track record in delivering exclusives, in-depth investigations and hard-hitting campaigns
  • attention to detail
  • up-to-date knowledge of media law

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of platforms, taking responsibility for managing and developing roundtable events and working as part of a dynamic team to deliver C+D’s awards and conference programmes.

You will be:

  • self-motivated
  • flexible
  • calm under pressure

  • excited about using new and social media to develop audience engagement
  • capable of quickly getting to grips with complex topics

The subject matter you will cover is wide-ranging and varied: from global companies such as Alliance Boots and GlaxoSmithKline to the business and professional challenges facing the 20,000 community pharmacists working in the UK; from government policy and contract negotiations to working conditions and how the industry is cutting its carbon footprint.

A key part of the role will be building and maintaining strong industry links; you will be comfortable discussing everything from primary care commissioning to business leases with the sector’s key players, from chief executives to pharmacy branch managers.
