Are you a talented beauty editor looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for a creative Group Beauty Editor to look after all the beauty and grooming pages for three of Gulf News Magazines' most successful titles: Friday, a weekly, is the best-read title in the UAE; Aquarius is a glossy monthly women's lifestyle magazine; while Alpha is a stylish men's monthly.
You will be responsible for conceptualising, creating and delivering stunning and on-trend features, shoots and product pages, as well as developing commercial beauty opportunities for all three brands.
You will need to work closely with the editors to meet each of the magazine's editorial and aesthetic standards, managing tight deadlines, budgets and commercial demands.
You will create and manage successful relationships with beauty experts and brands, representing each of the magazines at industry events and launches.
You should have at least five years as a senior beauty writer or beauty editor, as well as a world-class portfolio showcasing everything from investigative beauty features to creative shoots, both products and models.
You should have extensive experience managing beauty shoots, from creating the story or look to selecting the models and make-up artist, to directing the shoot.
On beauty and grooming, you will also be able to conceptualise and write with expertise and flair- everything from snappy product reviews, to in-depth beauty investigations.
You will need to be on top of all the women's beauty and men's grooming trends, from the must-have products, to the hottest ingredients.
You will be brimming with on-trend and innovative feature ideas for both editorial and commercial pitches. And above all else, you will live and breathe beauty, with a solid understanding of the industry, the trends and the brands and boast a brilliant beauty contact book.
Confident, sociable and passionate about lotions and potions, you will be a poster girl for the beauty world.
