Are you a Designer or Deputy Art Editor looking for a new challenge? Do you want the rare opportunity to work in a creative role across market-leading print and digital products? We are looking for a talented Deputy Art Editor to join our newly created Yarn Craft Group.
Working alongside the Art Editor and Senior Art Editor, you will design and produce high quality print and digital products for our market leading yarn magazines and digital editions. In this creative and innovative role, you'll ensure that magazine designs are focused, consistent, fit for purpose, target the audience and are created on time. You'll assist organising lifestyle and model photo shoots, be involved in image selection, designing packaging and cover mounts, and delivering materials for digital media and brand extensions.
You should be passionate about magazines both print and digital, and be able to demonstrate an appreciation of contemporary magazine design. You'll have experience as a Designer or Deputy Art Editor, preferably on a women's interest or lifestyle magazine. A strong portfolio of work demonstrating a range of magazine layouts is essential. You'll have an eye for photography, experience of picture editing and have the knowledge of how to make the most out of photographs using Photoshop. Highly organised and an excellent communicator, you'll need excellent commissioning skills to ensure that we get the best from our contributing artists.
