It is the leading French international news media group and its media are available worldwide, 24/7 on all devices: television, radio, internet, mobile phones, tablets, etc… Audiovisuel Extérieur de la France contributes to increasing France’s influence in the world with the two-fold aim of developing the number of Francophones and Francophiles. Main duties:
France 24 International news channel is looking for dynamic and experienced professionals to join its TV newsroom.
You will play a key role within the editorial team under the direction of the shift editor in chief. You will produce TV reports for news and newsmagazine shows.
You are in charge of breaking news reports, factual and analytical edited video stories for news bulletins and news magazines.
You write in the most creative, relevant and accurate manner to make them appealing to viewers and readers.
You select and edit video and select sound bites.
You do voice commentaries written by yourself in English and you adapt commentaries written in French.
Profile
· Prior experience of television and/or radio is essential
· You will have a degree in higher education
· Good knowledge of spoken and written French
· Clear oral expression
· Excellent writing and analytical abilities
· Sound knowledge of and interest in international politics, economics, sport and culture
Attractive freelance salary based in Paris.
Due to the 24/7 nature of FRANCE24 candidates must be able to work within a shift structure and be available all days of the week including weekends.
