International Financial Law Review (IFLR), the leading publication for bankers' counsel, is hiring an Americas reporter to cover regional developments in financial regulation, capital markets, and banking and corporate sectors.
The role will be based in London for a 9 month period, before relocation to New York.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing in-depth deal analysis across a broad spectrum of financial markets to twice-weekly and monthly deadlines.
Such analysis will require systematic tracking of deal documentation, the ability to source both public and private transactional data and to produce clear and detailed outlines of the market impact of developments in such data (including prospectuses, documentation clauses).
The role will also involve the sourcing and writing of exclusive news and interviews, as well as some features writing again to twice-weekly and monthly deadlines.
The successful candidate will be required to represent the IFLR brand by hosting conferences, and researching and presenting award ceremonies. They must also promote and manage IFLR’s US social media presence
He/she must be self-motivated and have experience sourcing and writing exclusive news content to tight deadlines.
The candidate should display a knowledge of financial law – formal legal and financial training is not obligatory but highly regarded.
The role involves some regional travel and a bonus scheme.
