Join the Mollie Makes team as Digital Editor and be responsible for all web and app based brand activity, including our weekly digital magazine, Gathered by Mollie Makes.
As Digital Editor you'll be responsible not only for shaping the digital strategy of one our most exciting craft brands, but also representing and extending it across a range of social networking sites and creating ideas for branded apps. You'll manage and evolve the Mollie Makes blog, source and write daily blog posts, build relationships with key bloggers, liaise with premium partners and Blog Editors to ensure effective cross promotion of the brand ensuring content is always on-brand and appropriate.
You'll oversee and develop all social media channels, generating original content and ensuring SEO maximisation. You'll become an active member within craft and lifestyle blogs and participate in discussions on blogs and actively promoting content on blogs to encourage link backs. Working closely with a Digital Product Editor you'll manage the digital editions of the magazine, our weekly iPad and iPhone magazine Gathered by Mollie Makes, and brand extensions on Apple Newsstand and Zinio.
With a keen interest in craft, handmade and lifestyle trends, you'll combine this with fantastic writing skills and an excellent knowledge and understanding of the internet. You'll have editing experience and know how to write online content, with a good knowledge of popular lifestyle and craft blogs. You'll be confident liaising with advertising clients and making new business contacts in order to maximise revenue streams and increase brand awareness. A keen interest in video and presenting to video is preferable. Solid organisational skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and the ability to manage your own workload are needed.
