MailOnline is looking for a SEO Content Executive to support to the existing SEO team on the premium-content consumer website www.dailymail.co.uk, the world’s most popular newspaper website.

This is a unique opportunity for an SEO Content Executive work alongside editorial team, learning new and valuable skills. 
Working directly with reporters in the news room, the SEO Content Executive will be responsible for optimising the editorial output to ensure maximum visibility and performance in search engines.

Job Content:

  • Work alongside editorial team
  • Monitor international news events and trends
  • Communicate ideas and make best practice recommendations
  • Analyse and understand competitors strategies, testing new ideas for optimising performance
  • Provide guidance and education on best practice
  • Provide additional team support as required including copy writing, numeric analysis etc.
  • Maintain an awareness of online publishing industry and communicate ideas and learnings
Knowledge / Background / Experience:
  • Experience in an editorial/copywriting position is desirable
  • Knowledge of optimising headlines and content for search engines
  • Skilled in analysing keyword search terms
  • Experience with web analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture
  • Experience of using content management systems e.g. Wordpress
  • Familiarity of online publishing and the UK newspaper industry is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Understanding of online marketing and social media 
  • Interest in latest internet trends and an understanding of the complex web ecosystems 
  • Confident and motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and understand and prioritise work load
  • Strong communicator
Hours/shifts:
Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm or 4pm – 12am
Saturday & Sunday 9am – 6pm
The candidates would not be required to work more than 5 days consecutively however they may be required to work weekends.
