The Division has an opportunity for a proactive individual who can demonstrate ability and enthusiasm for course leadership and teaching in theatre, film and photographic make-up artistry and character creation.
The successful candidate will undertake teaching and curriculum development in character creation for the stage and screen. Specialisms in prosthetics, postiche, freelance/business and /or events management would be welcome. Unit and course leadership will be conferred in accordance with the lecturer/senior lecturer roles and responsibilities.
The Division has a strong track record in encouraging and supporting staff research, and has research foci in media analysis and practice-led research. In RAE2008 the University achieved scores of 10% world-leading, 40% internationally excellent, 45% internationally significant.
The successful candidate will be active in the three areas of academic activity: research, teaching and knowledge exchange and will be expected make a significant contribution in at least two of these.
