Advertising Sales Manager (Leading Media Group)

The Company
Our client is an award winning publisher with a range Local media tools including press, magazines, special publications and online. They currently require an Advertising Sales Manager based in their Oban office to work on a range of online and print publications.

The Role
You will be responsible for the management of an established team of office and field based Media Sales Executives selling advertising solutions to business customers. You will be responsible for a range of leading newspaper, supplements, print and online products. You will be responsible for the delivery of sales management, motivation and coaching to ensure all pre-set targets are exceeded. Leading from the front you will be responsible for

• Managing KPIs and targets for sales staff.
• Motivating and developing staff in all areas of the sales process.
• On-going training, one to one coaching and development of sales staff
• Management of sales pipeline
• Monitoring sales trends and performance on a daily basis, preparing daily and weekly reports.
• Building strong relationships with top spending clients.
• Recognizing, identifying and developing business opportunities
• Achieving success
• Driving the team on a daily basis to meet and exceed targets
• Maintaining an active involvement with all relevant business associations
• Generating creative new ideas for business

The Candidate
To apply you will require a strong track record of advertising sales and experience of advertising sales management from within any media sector (i.e newspapers, magazines, outdoor, radio, tv, online, ect). You will be a natural leader, with the creativity, drive, motivation and passion to continue this organisation’s success. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels. You will have
• A proven track record in sales maximisation.
• Previous experience of working within a sales centre environment.
• Previous experience in dealing with team performance and development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• An ability to lead a sales team.
• A background in the sales of any advertising /media product is essential.

The role will require the employee is based in Oban during the business week.
