A B2B news magazine for the international luxury goods market is looking for a dynamic new editor.   The magazine is well established as the leading monthly news title for its industry and its editorial quality and integrity is held in high regard.
 
Based in south London the role involves producing both print and electronic media.   Client visits and press trips are a regular part of the role as are attending exhibitions and conferences worldwide.
 
Desired skills & experience include:

• Four-plus years as editor of a B2B publication
• Ability to manage in-house and freelance teams
• Strong experience working in a high pressure editorial environment
• Exemplary writing and language skills
• A high degree of personal initiative and creativity
• Knowledge of CMS and SEO
• Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and grace under pressure
• An ability to represent and meet the expectations of the luxury end of the market

 
Responsibilities include:

• Oversee and manage in-house and global freelance editorial team
• Ensure advanced and consistent production of upcoming issue briefs
• Ensure ongoing daily production of niche sector-relevant stories
• Flatplan monthly issues plus additional magazine and supplements in co-operation with the advertising team
• Represent the magazine and its portfolio at industry events
• Oversee and produce high-quality up-to-the-minute breaking news through contacts or other sources
• Research, analyse and produce copy relevant to scheduled features, events, news analysis etc
• Ensure punctual delivery of copy for freelancers to keep as steady as possible flow of copy to the production team
• Liaise with production to ensure deadlines are kept
• Organise and follow up conference speaker line-ups

 
Depending on experience a competitive salary will be offered to the right candidate.   Languages are a benefit, but not essential.
