Head of press, Policy Exchange - England
This job is located in London (Westminster), England (map)
- Maximise press coverage of Policy Exchange’s reports, in lead up to report launches, in national, specialist and regional media. Particular focus on broadcast and comment pages.
- Strategic planning with comms director to identify opportunities for Policy Exchange to pitch comment pieces or media stories where we have strong policy recommendations.
- Identify stand alone stories from ongoing research that can be briefed and placed in appropriate outlets.
- Identify top lines, write press releases and brief to national print and broadcast journalists.
- Maintain regular presence in specialist media outlets and blog forums (Comment is Free, ConHome, Spectator Coffee House).
- Identify and build relations with key contacts outside political commentariat.
- Work with specific research directors to help them build up contacts in appropriate fields preparation for and feedback on interviews.
