Editor – Technology

My client is one of the leading publishing companies based in London, and they are looking for an experienced editor to work on one of the UK’s leading magazines and websites for the technology and innovation sector!

As one of the UK’s best-known business media brands, its entering one of the most exciting periods in its long history as it moves to a more powerful web platform. Covering areas as diverse as transport, energy, environmental technology, defence and healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced editor to join this successful editorial team.

The Role – The Editor will:

* Lead the experienced and enthusiastic editorial team

* As an experienced editor, shape the editorial strategy of the brands website on a new platform

* In particular, the editor will be expected to work with the publisher to develop a much bigger global audience, bringing the brand to life on the web

* Build on the success of the magazine with the assistant editor

* As editor, represent the brand at a senior level in the sectors it covers

* Help to develop the brands successful awards scheme and other events.

Skills and Experience:

* The successful editor will be an experienced journalist with a track record at a senior editorial level on a B2B magazine and website.

* You will be an experienced editor, currently working on a b2b magazine within a technology, defence, IT life sciences or even construction sector.

* As the editor, you will have a clear understanding of the potential of the brands website to transform its relationship with its readers and a strong general interest in technical innovation so good knowledge of web 2.0 is essential!

* As an experienced editor, you should be confident dealing with technical information when necessary.
