In-house technology journalist, Lewis PR - England

This job is located in London, England (map)

What we want
You will be responsible for editing and drafting written material as part of our creative team, so speed and accuracy are critical. If you can take flat copy and turn it into a lively, well-rounded story, or write a headline or caption that demands attention across different audiences and sectors, we want to speak to you. As a media expert you will consult with the teams, clients and journalists with creative and innovative ideas, as well as developing these for new business pitches to support agency growth. You will also possess skills to help train our teams to write creative, compelling and consistent copy.

An interest in the wider world of publishing and PR – especially new media techniques – is important. But overall we just want lots of great ideas, a positive attitude and the drive to get involved in whatever is thrown at you. You will be responsible for developing and managing one direct line report.

What you need

  • Faultless grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Experience / training in a journalistic environment
  • A concise writing style, and the ability to work quickly and stick to a brief
  • Knowledge of business-to-business and business-to-consumer technology, and the ability to write for a business audience
  • Good time and project management skills
  • Polished presentation and communication skills
What you get
  • The chance to join an award-winning agency (Best Companies 2009, Computing Excellence Awards IT PR agency of the year 2008)
  • Rewarding work on high-profile accounts and campaigns
  • Creative freedom and an environment that encourages new ideas
  • An outstanding benefits package – including private health, travel & dental insurance
  • Competitive holiday allowance
