inthenews.co.uk is recruiting a news correspondent.
The successful candidate will have an NCTJ qualification or equivalent, be able to deliver clean and concise copy to tight deadlines and be able to write across our main channels; news (UK, world and business), sport and entertainment.
The ideal candidate will have a year's experience gained online or in local or national print journalism and will also have experience of content management systems and HTML.
Reporting to the editor, the news correspondent role demands a passion for current affairs and an acceptance of working some antisocial hours including weekends.
While primarily office-based, the role will involve attending press conferences and conducting interviews on a regular basis.
