About the role
Take your first step into magazine journalism and work on Simply Knitting, a successful, vibrant, market-leading magazine.
As production assistant you will be assisting the production editor in writing and producing magazine pages and blog entries to the highest standard to meet required deadlines. Within this varied role you will organise competitions and reader offers, and liaise with the industry as well as responding to reader queries. You will have the chance to input creatively into the magazine and help develop the magazine's online presence.
You will have fantastic writing skills and have high standards of spelling, grammar and punctuation to ensure that the copy is the best it can be. Alongside superb organisational skills, you will have the ability to work well as part of a team, prioritise tasks, work on your own initiative and under pressure to hit deadlines. Good administrative skills and telephone man ner are key requirements for this role.
