Yaqoob had been with the Daily Mail for six-and-a-half years. Nearly six years as a general news reporter covering a wide range of stories from crime and special investigations before spending the last year as second in command on the show business desk.
Speaking to BizAsia.co.uk, Yaqoob said, "Where else does one go after working on one of Britain's biggest titles but the newspaper that has got the whole world talking?
