British Public Radio Awards deadline looming large

Matt Hopper posted on Monday 8th July at 17:22I know that creative people like to work up to a deadline, nay, leave things until the last moment, so I thought I would post a timely reminder to anybody hoping to get their audio recognised in the first ever British Public Radio Awards to hurry up and enter – the closing date is Monday July 15th.
There are Roberts DAB radios for all the winners.
Entries already received include a documentary introduced by Jeremy Vine, a piece about our attitudes to death and dying narrated by Brian Blessed and numerous podcasts and audio pieces produced for the love of the medium that is speech radio.
We still don’t know the identity of the mystery person who uploaded “No Pain No Gain”, a feature about “the under reporting of assaults on sex workers”, so that person has also less than a week to reveal themselves!
The amount and quality of the entries we are receiving only makes me believe more that what we are planning to do – open Britain’s first commercial general interest speech station – is the right thing to do, and now is the right time to do it.
So get that great comedy podcast, documentary, news feature, audio experiment or whatever and get it in before it’s too late. Details at http://britishpublicradio.com/awards
Thanks
