Glyn Roylance posted on Sunday 13th January at 13:44The related post set me thinking it would be good to have a list of shows that stations may (or may not) be interested in. Perhaps if this gets a good response it could be saved in the reference section of this site (I don’t know how you do that, maybe its and admin thing?).
My list for starters (some added recently from recommendation on this site).
Infosound – Information for the blind and partially sighted
http://www.infosound.org.uk/
New Music Show –New and re-released music
http://radiovalley.co.uk/New_music_Show.html
Chillout Show – Colin Hanslip – chillout music
http://radiovalley.co.uk/Chill-out.html
House Central Jay Forster
http://radiovalley.co.uk/House%20Central.html
Europe Rocks Miguel Da Silva – slightly Dutch accent
http://radiovalley.co.uk/Europe%20Rocks.html
Floydian Slip – Pink Floyd show
http://www.floydianslip.com/
Dance music. Slightly Northern sounding presenter (nowt wrong with that!).

Best of British – Unsigned bands

Nothing but the 90’s – Mike Brown.

Tomorrow Your Heart – 60s music
http://tomorrowyourheart.com/

Rock N Roll Saturday with Mike Marwick, playing the best in 50’s & 60’s RnR, as carried on many community and small ILR stations in Scotland and also on Big L. http://www.celticmusicradio.net/about/team/mike-marwick/
Big Fat Party Anthems with Big Tommy, carried on many stations globally, produced at UWS Radio in Ayrshire, Scotland. This is one of the most heard shows on community and small ILR stations across the UK.

Oldies FM with Alec Nicol, carried on some community and ILR stations in Scotland and Spain.

Cross Rhythms have various programs available for syndication.

Apparently the Radio Valley links above are now dead, but you can get at least two of those shows and some more on Catchup media link below. Not sure where Alan Rowett’s “New Music Show” resides nowadays:

Also a couple of Dance Music shows here:

Guilty Pleasures and Retro Chart show by Richard Todd here but no audio samples)
http://www.richard-todd.net/
Any more out there?

Nice to see my show on the list, thank you! And despite a bit of a health setback on my part the show is still available from Catch-Up Media via the link in the above post.

If I may be cheeky and add my couple of shows…
Airplay40 – The Top 40 songs from radio airplay from syndicated stations.
Airplay40 Rewind – A retro chart show.
Both these programmes are available to stations for free, or on a sponsorship package. For more info, take a look at ERN Radio Syndication

Global Dancefloor is my baby. Nice to be included. Can’t believe I’ve been tagged as Northern though, Coventry is only north of Watford (if you’re in London!). No whippets & flatcaps!
The show is now in its 5th year, 2 hours long & concentrates on funky house & disco house, so tunes are quite recognisable, tunes with a smile. Listener integration encouraged through:
Website
www.globaldancefloor.co.uk
Facebook www.facebook.com/globaldancefloor
Twitter
www.twitter.com/GlobalDanceflr
If you want to hear a show there are always the last 4 weeks available on my site to listen & download.
There is also a spin-off show for more “club” orientated music, one hour length presented by colleague Stu Ritchie (also not northern) called Global Dancefloor Too (details on website).
Thanks for highlighting us Glyn. Ee by gum!
Jules.
You can also add to the list a couple of other programmes which are available out there in the big wide world.
The first is one that I do for a number of Hospital and Community Radio Stations in the UK and that’s The Vintage Years” – Music from and a look back at the golden age of radio, from the roaring twenties through to the swinging sixties! More info from vintage.years@btinternet.com
There is also the A to Z of Pop from Richard Smith (theatozofpop@aol.com).
Incidentally, I agree whole heartly with Tony Blackburn’s comment that there should be a national oldies station on an FM frequency.

I do 3 shows
the soul & dance show ( now in it’s 9th year of production ) classic disco & soul
The late zone which is a general music show with features
and Pillowtalk which is a love songs show but not the same old ones you hear all the time
anyone interested can contact me on this e-mail
souldanceshow@yahoo.com

What about remote presenters who can voice shows for stations with local links, does that count?

I host a radio travel show and podcast: Travelbitesradio.podbean.com which is available for free syndication
