The Pleb

I don’t see anything wrong with referring to someone as a “pleb”.
It’s not an insult – it’s a simple statement of fact regarding social standing.
The Speaker of the House of Commons (even on a bike) would be rated as a Patrician (from the Latin “pater” = “father”) as in deference to a Roman Senator.
A policeman on security duty would hence be a Plebeian – shortened to “pleb”.
