Alice spares for an Air 2000?
Follow @mediaukdiscussDoes anyone have a Alice spares (air 2000) they’d be willing to sell?

I am also after some spares to use with their airswitch product. I am after the button caps used in the studios to take control of the station from that studio. Anyone know where I can get these from. Have tried to call Alice themselves but no response.

Hi Matt. According to some business link sites (via Google) Alice Soundtech are “non trading” and haven’t been since early 2012. I have also tried to contact Alice with no response. If I get any details of the switch button caps I’ll let you know.

PS I think the switches used in Alice products were RAMI or OMRON (my money’s on the latter).

Ah – in which case does anyone know of where I can get switch button caps for some Alice switches. The studio switching buttons on our offer/accept unit has broken and now pings off when people press it.
ta – Matt

Thats a pity about Alice not trading any more. I’m very keen also to locate some button caps and on/off lenses.
Tony

Just found these on the Omron website – I wonder are these the ones? (pdf)

Hello Tony/Matt. I’ve not had a chance to check if the Alice Air 2000 use these switches, but if they are Industrial Omron A16 then spares can be sought from CPC. Not sure this link will work, if not email direct at cityradioservices@yahoo.co.uk and I’ll pass on the info.

I’d have thought the rectangular / square illuminated buttons on an Alice Air 2000 would be EAO Highland. They are still readily available through RS.

Any more info on spares for the Alice Air 2000 radio desk?
thanks.

Hi Tony,
Not sure if you got an answer, but I can only find Studiospares holding some Alice Air 2000 modules. If it’s any help, most of the Dual Line,Dual Mic and Telco units all use regular CMOS IC’s and most are fixable (as it is normal for CMOS switching to go faulty if the units are not looked after).
