Minster FM is looking for a News Editor. Located near York, we broadcast across York and North Yorkshire including market towns such as Malton, Pickering, Selby and Tadcaster. We are the number one local radio station in our market place and having been on-air for over 20 years, we are firmly established in the area. We are part of the UKRD Group, twice ranked No.1 in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.
This is a blank canvas – How would you paint your dream newsroom?
Ours would contain journalists with commitment, drive and enthusiasm. You will have a passion for news and the skill to write and deliver it in a style suitable for our audience with the voice to match. You will be reading live bulletins, conducting interviews and updating our website.
You will need to be able to develop relationships and be the face of Minster FM within the local business community.
You will be familiar with Burli and you will have a legal qualification. You will be able to spell and know your ‘there’ from your ‘their’.
