Voluntary Unpaid Position – Saturday and Sunday’s – 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm

You need to be highly creative and be able to think “outside the box” as your role will include entertaining Basildon and East Thurrock during the weekend with a smile, by having lots of energy and be bursting with great ideas.
Weekend Breakfast, Coffee and Tea, and Sunday Roast are our flagship programmes every Saturday and Sunday daytime, so top quality features are needed, and lots of them! Music is already chosen from our station core, so finding new features will be your top priority.

The ability to get hold of lots of guests is an advantage. We also have digital recorders, so pre recorded interviews are possible – we offer training with these.

You will get lots of training in all aspects of radio – from researching, interviewing, recording, desk driving, programme techniques, radio production tips and hints etc.
