Assistant Radio Producer – BBC Asian Network, Wise Buddah

Wise Buddah Creative & Three Street Media are looking for a talented Assistant Producer with experience/knowledge of Asian music genres and the radio industry. The role will be specific to working on three studio-based live music radio shows.

We are looking for someone who:

· is passionate about Asian music
· has a knowledge and experience of making music radio
· is willing to work outside of standard office hours, including weekends
· is creative and willing to contribute ideas to the shows
· has some experience of talent management
· is good at working under pressure and to tight deadlines
· can think of new and creative ways to use and engage with social media

As an Assistant Producer you would be required to:

- Work under the Producer and assist during live or pre-recorded shows and interviews.

- Assist the preparation of show materials including sourcing and loading music as necessary into relevant client systems

- Assist with guest bookings, research and script notes

- Prompt and timely delivery of programme paperwork

- Updating web pages and providing interactive content for programmes using clients web systems where appropriate

- To record interviews, vox pops and film content as required

- Perform basic editing tasks using VCS or protools

- Perform music reporting duties using relevant client systems

- Other administrative tasks as directed

- Take part in editorial and creative meetings

- On occasion produce programmes as required and directed
