Young People's Project Leader x 2, Takeover Radio Sutton-in-Ashfield

Takeover Radio are building on the strength of their work with young people in the Ashfield Area and launching new out of school projects for children in the Ashfield and Mansfield areas, supported by Nottinghamshire County Council. We are looking for talented people to lead our new radio and DJ training projects, working with targeted children in challenging areas of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, and Mansfield.

Ideally, you will meet the following person specification:

- Experience of working successfully with challenging young people – Experience of delivering innovative projects targeted at young people – DBS / CRB cleared – Up to date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures – Audio production skills (using Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Audacity, or similar) – Experience of DJ’ing in public and/or using Virtual DJ – Experience of radio presenting or production – Knowledge of contemporary pop and dance music. – Own transport advantageous

The positions will be initially offered on a fixed term contract up to April 2014.
Working hours will vary between term time and school holidays, based on a 30 hour week which will be afternoon / early evening in term time and daytime in school holidays. Please indicate if you would also be available to work on Saturday and/or Sunday if required.
