CSE Event Administrator, British Forces Broadcasting Service

CSE Forces Entertainment is the official provider of live events & morale boosting visits to HM Forces on operations worldwide. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Events Administrator to join the team supporting the 400 or so tours we send out annually.

As the successful applicant you will have proven ability in coordinating complex tasks, will be proficient in Microsoft Office programmes and happy to learn our bespoke database ‘Gig-Guide’. You will be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in events, Production, Radio, Television or Talent agency would be a definite advantage. An excellent telephone manner for daily contact with artistes, management and the Ministry of Defence will be essential

Assisting the Entertainment Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all advance preparations are made to send acts, artists, support staff and equipment to each show location. You will be researching & booking flights and accommodation, negotiating prices, preparing budgets and processing supplier invoices and responsible for CSE ISO 9001 Quality documentation. In short, you will be responsible for all the administration relating to individual tours and the smooth running of the department.

You will be an exceptional administrator with a ‘can do’ attitude, who wants to stamp their own mark on an essential and pro-active position. A keen interest in the military audience, popular music, comedy and celebrity is essential, as creative input is part of the job. There will also be a chance to assist on tours, therefore flexibility, a clean driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and overseas is also required

You should be fun loving, confident, extremely self-motivated, cope well under pressure and think on your feet. You will need to juggle lots of balls and enjoy the challenge that CSE logistics present. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person, someone who wants to work in or progress within the events or entertainment industry.
