Freelance Traffic Information Editors

Job Description: With the Holidays season now upon us, we are looking to increase our pool of freelance travel information editors at our London Travel Desk. The data produced by our regional travel team is used by our radio stations across the UK both on-air and on-line. Whilst on shift you will be responsible for ensuring that this information is current, accurate and well written.

Skills and Experience: Candidates will have an exceptional knowledge of the UK Transport Network and will have ideally had some experience in radio in either programming or news. Applications would also be considered from candidates with operational control room experience.

Personal qualities: You will be extremely organised in your approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines and have a strong eye for detail. You will be dealing with a multitude of different sources so the ability to prioritise work rapidly under pressure is essential. You will have an excellent telephone manner and be able to confidently and politely deal with members of the public and external operational contacts, in addition you will also have to liaise with on air staff within the company.

Additional Information: This work will involve day or night shifts. The position would be based at our Leicester Square Newsroom in Central London and you would be required to travel into Central London for both early and late starts.
