10 month contract

BBC Radio Gloucestershire is looking for a Broadcast Assistant who will feel at home working on our programming. This could involve setting up guests, recording interviews or reporting from the radio car. You may be asked to present basic shows such as our 5 - 6 am programme. You'll be covering a wide range of issues and produce material across all our output. If you feel you have a big personality and the drive to make a name in the BBC then this could be your big chance !!

A superb communicator you'll have masses of personality, bags of energy and a flair for picking a story and giving it a creative treatment. It is essential you have a good broadcasting voice, a sound editorial judgement and some proven technical ability. Presenting skills and experience are vital. You must also be able to produce and read live travel reports - and be sharp witted enough to enjoy on-air banter with the presenter and their team.

Interviews are expected to be held on Monday 9th June 2008.

Applicants planning on sumbitting a form will be asked to submit a voice demo and write a submission on what steps you would take to find stories from those parts of the community that are not heard on BBC Radio Gloucestershire at the moment. Full details contained in application form.
