Creative copywriter [maternity cover], KISS 105-8

Award-winning youth brand Kiss 105-8 are looking for a creative copywriter to provide maternity cover 3 days per week, for a minimum of 6 months, starting end of July 2009. This role involves working closely with the local sales team to proactively pitch solutions to clients, and will cover scriptwriting for airtime activity and station branded trails, creative ideas for sponsorship and promotions, podcasts and other on and off-air opportunities which will answer the client’s brief.

The suitable candidate will have relevant experience in writing and directing engaging and effective audio solutions, excellent communication skills, and commercial acumen to ensure that creative departmental revenue targets are achieved or exceeded on a monthly basis.

This role will report to the Kiss Network Creative Manager, with secondary reporting to the Kiss 105-8 Station Director.
Key Accountabilities:
• Write and direct engaging and effective audio solutions for local, regional and national clients which meet or exceed client objectives and expectations
• Ensure that departmental revenue targets are achieved or exceeded
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with sales executives, helping to establish their client needs and assisting in the procurement of comprehensive yet concise client briefs
• Accompany sales executives on client meetings to present campaign ideas direct to clients
• Consistently look to develop additional on-air and off-air revenue opportunities
• Direct and manage client sessions utilising the facilities and tools available within the group
• Ensure that copy for broadcast is supplied in good time to the relevant commercial traffic departments
