Reporter - journalist, Garrison Radio (Catterick)

Garrison FM, the British Army’s own radio service is looking for a reporter to front its daily flagship bulletin- Army Radio News. This is broadcast across the Army’s radio network on FM & AM in UK and online worldwide. You will compile, research and produce this daily bulletin, co-ordinating with colleagues in other garrisons, Army PR offices and a variety of other sources. You will also produce network and local interviews for Garrison FM and its sister station Armytalk at the studios and on location.
You will need to have an excellent radio voice and good delivery. This won’t be your first job in radio or a follow on from work experience- you will have already been employed full time in commercial radio or BBC as a reporter/journalist.
Your role will include administration and programming duties and tasks in the radio station and a willingness to be flexible in your approach to your work. There are regular daytime hours, with no shift work, although some flexibility may be required on occasions.
This job is located at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire and you would be expected to live within a 30 mile radius.
Salary 16k+ dependent on experience.
