Head Of News for YMC Group

We are looking for a Head of News to join the YMC Group -

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or similar field from an accredited college or university.
We are looking for having experience with a background and proven track record in news, news gathering, news writing and news reporting.
We are looking for you to demonstrated experience in developing and producing both short and long form in the commercial radio news content.
We are looking for you to have proven ability to write news scripts for local radio news casts and features
To be able to handle a variety of activities, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as skills in news writing, editing, interviewing, production, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have experience with the news gathering process and story development in a YMC Group market.
Must be able to set up a production studio and engineer two-way interviews.
Must have excellent working knowledge of commercial radio news.
Must have excellent and proven ability to edit in the multi-track mode of Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition and able to train others on its use.
Must be able to quickly encode and deliver high quality MPEG files.
Must be proficient in knowledge of microphone polarization patterns.
Must be proficient in the use and handling of audio compact flash recorders and moving recorded product into automation system.
Knowledge of YMC Group market is desired, but not required

This position requires solid experience in reporting and crafting informative reports of local and National news, as well as experience in, local feature stories and interviews.
You will be responsible for the news teams and output for the group.
