GMG Radio (North West) has a vacancy for a broadcast journalist in our award-winning news operation in Salford Quays, Manchester.

The team is responsible for producing bulletins and news programmes for Real Radio North West, Manchester’s 106.1 Rock Radio – and, from October, we will produce and provide bulletins for the newly-launched national Smooth Radio. In addition to this, we also provide evening and weekend bulletins across Real Radio’s network of regional stations.

Want to work in a team that still does news specials, investigations and generates issue-led journalism that the national papers and TV follow up?

Well, you’ll need to have two years’ experience at a commercial or BBC radio station. You will also need to be highly organised, comfortable with running a busy news desk, and a great writer with a strong voice.
