BBC Tees is looking for a talented broadcast journalist – someone who can find original stories and turn them into great radio and someone who can deliver the news in a manner consistent with the highest industry standards.

BBC Tees covers the industrial area of Teesside, the southern half of County Durham and the Northern half of North Yorkshire, about 750,000 potential listeners. It’s a patch which mixes rural and urban, deprivation and affluence and a part of the country often in the national spotlight.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team worker, with great news judgement, confident with newsroom technology and calm under pressue – with excellent written English and a confident broadcasting voice essential.

You’ll be required to fulfil a range of duties – from live radio car reporting to bulletin reading.

You’ll have a good understanding of the needs and passions of the local radio listeners and of the news agenda which informs our radio programmes and website users.
