Heart is looking for a Senior Broadcast Journalist to join the newsroom – initially in Dunstable before moving to Milton Keynes when our new Broadcast Centre opens next year.

You will be responsible for creating original, compelling local news content that appeals to the Heart target audience.

The Senior Broadcast Journalist is a senior position within the newsroom. The person holding the position acts as the stand in for the News Editor at times of his absence.

They will be an experienced journalist capable of taking responsibility for editorial decision-making, and assisting the News Editor in the efficient operation of the newsroom.

They will have a strong voice and be an accomplished reader/writer and reporter.

From time to time they will act up as News Editor liaising with other station/Group management.

The SBJ will have excellent knowledge of Global brands and editorial style guides.

They will be providing an excellent example through best practice to other Broadcast journalists and be capable of standing in at other stations.”
