Downtown Radio & Cool FM (Bauer NI) – Northern Ireland’s leading commercial radio stations – are looking for a talented, highly-skilled, experienced and motivated senior multi-media broadcast journalist to join our award-winning news team.The successful candidate will have an absolute passion for news and be able to provide creatively crafted, concise and informative bulletins, both live and pre-recorded.You will also be able to operate in an often high-pressured environment and work to hourly deadlines. Working closely with the Head of News & Sport you will help produce first-rate bulletins on a daily basis and plan ideas for future stories and features. In addition, you will produce quality daily news schedules and produce/present news-room conferences. On occasions you will be required to anchor ‘on-location’ bulletins.You will also need to have an excellent voice and a good understanding of how to use it to get the maximum impact from your delivery. Good legal knowledge of broadcast law is essential. We are part of the Bauer Media UK which is a network of iconic, multi-platform brands reaching over 25 million people, including KISS, Magic, Hits Radio, Greatest Hits Radio, Scala Radio, Jazz FM and Absolute Radio.
