Radio moments

1995: Gemini Radio launched by Orchard Media, replacing Devonair which was one of few to lose licence

1995: Choice FM (Birmingham) launched. Became Galaxy, now Capital

1988: Radio Tees becomes TFM. Those were the days! 'FM' in; 'radio' out. @tfmradio

1987: Radio 210 switched on new frequency to serve Berks/North Hampshire. Chairman on tests!:

1973: Top 20 on @bbcradio1 started being carried on @BBCRadio2 FM transmitters. First time chart heard in stereo!

1927: The British Broadcasting Corporation takes over the activities of the former British Broadcasting Company
