Findlay fails to agree deal

Former Radio Forth and Northsound boss Adam Findlay and his father, SMG chairman Richard Findlay have ended talks with Kingdom FM and Wave 102 about a possible takeover. A deal for Kingdom is said to have collapsed due to the two sides not being able to agree a price, according to a report. (more)

Two UK radio presenters each took the challenge of trying to beat the World Guinness Record for the longest running radio show last week. Micky Gavin from Kingdom FM spent 108 hours on-air, whilst Mike Russell on Time 106.6 lasted 126 hours. Both raised money for local charities. (more)

Bad news for the former Kingdom Radio Group, with now defunct West Lothian station River FM recording a 2,000 drop in weekly audience reach while Kingdom FM itself has just registered its worst audience ratings since it began 9 years ago.. (more)
New Host of Kingdom FM Breakfast

Starting tomorrow morning is the new host of the breakfast show on Kingdom FM. Glasgow born Liam McCann will take to the airwaves with newsreader Fiona Stewart with 'McCann in the Morning' from 5am until 10am across Fife and East Central Scotland. Liam takes over from Stuart Webster who recently left to join Tay FM. Previous hosts include Ian Gilmour and Sam Jackson.. (more)

Good news for Q96 and Clyde 1 while bad news for Kingdom FM and Northsound 1. Q96, the local radio station covering Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Glasgow, is officially Scotland's fastest growing radio station - according to the latest RAJAR audience figures released today.. (more)
