Bauer to put music on its Liverpool all-talk station

New licence for Bauer's City Talk 105.9 permits up to 50% pop outside peak hours, with some further conditionsBauer Media's Liverpool radio station City Talk 105.9 has been given permission by the media regulator Ofcom to drop its all-talk format, despite the opposition of other radio operators. Liverpool City stations unite

Bauer Radio's three Liverpool radio stations united as one on Tuesday as the Pete Price phone in, normally broadcast on City Talk 105.9, was simulcast on Magic 1548 and Radio City 96.7. (more)

Radio caller dies live on-air

A caller, known only as Terry, who was taking part in a phone-in on Emap station Magic 1548 in Liverpool has believed to have died whilst on the phone when the line suddenly went silent. (more)

Changes at Emap Northwest

The three Emap-owned Big City stations in the Northwest of England are bringing in a few changes for 2006. Radio City in Liverpool are bringing back a nightly talk show as the Pete Price Phone-In moves from it's sister station Magic 1548 (Liverpool). (more)
