Emap plan talk for Liverpool

The closing date for the new commercial radio station for Liverpool is getting closer, and Emap have confirmed they will be applying for the licence to compliment their excisting services of Radio City 96.7 and Magic 1548. The application will propose a format which will be substantially speech featuring discussions and interviews with studio guests on local matters, health and lifestyle issues, home and garden improvement tips, parenting problems and sport including live commentary, in addition to news, weather, what's on, traffic and travel information. Radio caller dies live on-air

A caller, known only as Terry, who was taking part in a phone-in on Emap station Magic 1548 in Liverpool has believed to have died whilst on the phone when the line suddenly went silent. Pete Price who was hosting his regular Phone-In when it happened, abandoned the show and raced around the the man's house. (more)

Changes at Emap Northwest

The three Emap-owned Big City stations in the Northwest of England are bringing in a few changes for 2006. Radio City in Liverpool are bringing back a nightly talk show as the Pete Price Phone-In moves from it's sister station Magic 1548 (Liverpool). Pete had previously been hosting his daily show on Magic along side a Sunday evening show on Radio City. (more)
