More co-locating and sharing for TLRC

Further to today's news that 3TR fm will co-locate with Spire fm, Ofcom have given permission to TLRC for a further three stations to co-locate.Eight stations have also been given permission to share weekday daytime output. (more)

TLRC relocates another station

TLRC have had a further format change approved by Ofcom, meaning Warminster's 3TR fm can be co-located within the studios of Spire FM in Salisbury.The regulators have also agreed that six hours of weekday daytime programming can be shared between the two stations. (more)

Spire FM have won the Radio Academy Nations and Regions award for Station of the Year for 2007 in the South, which could lead to the station winning a Sony Radio Academy Award in the new year. . (more)

Salisbury's 102 Spire FM held its annual 'Spireworks' event on Saturday and saw a crowd of five thousand turn up for the event. A local rotary club were also raising money for charity at the evening, which included a large bonfire and stage entertainment from the radio station. (more)

Spire FM Team Up with BFBS Radio 1

Fire and Spire boost TLRC

Splitting Yorkshire Coast Radio off from Minster FM's RAJAR survey and letting it go-alone has proved a good PR move for TLRC. There was perhaps some overlap in the TSAs, as a crass combination of the separate figures shows an increase of 7,000 listeners and just short of 200,000 extra hours. Fire 107.6 was TLRC's big winner this quarter, whilst Sailsbury's Spire FM posted its best reach (000s) in three years. (more)

Spire FM helped raise Ā£10,000 for Naomi House Children's Hospice during the annual It's a Knockout event in Salisbury. A hundred people took part in the event organised by Spire FM and helped raise the money for its chosen charity of the year. (more)

Spire raises 15k for charity

TLRC station Spire FM in Salisbury, Wiltshire has raised Ā£15,000 for its chosen charity of the year during the stations annual on-air auction. Over 90 lots were donated by local businesses, and all money collected went straight to Naomi House Childrenā€™s Hospice. (more)
