DJ pair JK and Joel leave Virgin Radio

Sony favourite joins Virgin

Jo Russell is joining Virgin Radio as their new weekend mid-morning presenter.Russell, better known as one half of the long-serving Jo & Twiggy breakfast show on Trent FM in Nottingham, has won numerous Sony Radio Academy Awards over the years. (more)

Trent FM sponsors local arena

GCap Media station Trent FM has agreed a four year media partnership with a local entertainment venue to re-name it as the Trent FM Arena Nottingham. (more)

New evening show for Heart

Trent FM afternoon presenter Matt Wilkinson is leaving GCap to join Heart 106.2 in London as their new evening show presenter. The move is part of a number of programming changes at Heart which includes a new late show - Heartbreakers with Simon Beale - showcasing new and classic ballads. (more)

Nick Jackson joins Virgin

Former BRMB drive-time presenter Nick Jackson is joining Virgin Radio as host of the weekend breakfast show. He has previously worked for Original 106, Century FM and Trent FM. His new show, each Saturday and Sunday from 6am till 10am starts this weekend. (more)

Catterall commits to Rock FM

Adam Catterall has signed a two year contract with Emap station Rock FM to continue to host the breakfast show. The news follows a nomination for Presenter of the Year alongside Virgin Radio's Christian O'Connell and Trent FM's Jo and Twiggy at Monday's Arqiva Awards. (more)

Emap to network on FM

RadioToday.co.uk can reveal that two of Emap's North West radio stations, Key 103 and Rock FM, are to be networked in the evenings. "North West's Most Wanted" will also be broadcast on digital station The Hits and will be presented by Rich and Luce, who are joining from GCap's Trent FM. (more)
